Hey all - Is there anyone on this Tribe who is well-versed in Mythopoetic theory? If so, throw any and every reading recommendation my way. As I'm partial to Jung and drawn to the arts, I have a growing interest in the mythopoetic world. I'd be interested to hear other perspectives, especially regarding Mythopoetic theory in practice and possibly the relationship with body-centered therapy.
Thanks!

Re: Mythopoetic Psychotherapy
Sun, July 31, 2005 - 12:48 PMOk, if this strikes anyone else's interest, I've been reading The Mythic Path by David Feinstein & Stanley Krippner. It's a course, if you will, in personal mythology. It's deeply revealing. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Mon, January 15, 2007 - 10:09 AMJames Hillman, the myth of analysis is great, deals with the mythopoetic imagination.
i think there is a book out there someplace called the mythopoetic imagination. but im not sure.
any of the jungian books exploring myth and therapy.
mythos is story, poeisis is making, so mythopoeisis/mythopoetic is the making and remaking of stories, the life of the story that we further in our tellings and retellings.
Michael Meade is an excellent mythopoetic collective therapist. i think he has a new book out, and his c.d's are fab, and if you can see him in person, do so. he speeks throughout the country.
decent of the goddess is a great book, looking at the innana myth and personal transformation. sylvia briton-perrera is a jungian on the east coast.
im sure there are more...
